A foreman role can be an excellent base on which to build a solid career in construction. Forepersons, and assistant site managers, can learn much from the project teams with which they work on a variety of developments and sites.
Our clients are looking for forepersons, probably from a trades background, who can motivate and manage trades and labourers, as well as supervise all aspects of health and safety implementation and compliance and the day to day running of site. You will also need to have experience in build processes, drawings, and programmes and schedules of works.
There’s usually a variety of site forman jobs available - you might be a finishing foreperson working on a residential development to snag and hand over units, or managing trades from strip-out to decoration and completion on a major commercial project in the City.
